Dieci’s bend-in-the-middle Agri Pivot range has been bolstered with the introduction of a new flagship model, the T80.

Power is the headline improvement, with the switch to a 4.5-litre FPT engine upping output to 153hp – significantly more than the 115hp delivered by the T70’s 3.6-litre Perkins and the 73hp of the Kubota-powered T60.

The transmission remains a two-speed hydrostatic affair with 19kph and 40kph maximums.

As before, it has an “eco” mode to reduce fuel consumption and a “creeper” function that allows operators to set engine revs independently of forward speed to run an auger bucket or sweeper.

There’s no upgrade on the T70’s 5.2m maximum lift height either, but it does better than the mid-ranger by 500kg in lift capacity, at 3,500kg.

It also runs a beefier 160-litre/min pump that delivers faster boom cycle times.

Potentially useful standard features include bucket shaking and boom position memory, both engaged on the armrest-mounted joystick in a revamped cab.

Highlights here, says Dieci, include more space, narrower framework to improve visibility, superior air-conditioning and soundproofing, and a new 7in display.
