Case IH revamps U-series front-end loaders

Hydraulic loaders for Case IH’s mid-range tractors will have a revised design and a choice of two additional models as supplies become available this year.

The U-series loaders cater for the Farmall A, Farmall C, Luxxum, Vestrum, Maxxum and short wheelbase Puma tractors, with the option of plain or self-levelling configurations.

The revamped design introduces a sloping mid-section to the loader arms to more closely follow the profile of the host tractor’s hood, and also a cross-beam located 12cm further down.

Improved visibility across the loader is said to be one benefit of the redesign, along with a structure claimed to improve the loader’s strength and durability – the latter also benefiting from a new painting procedure.

The revised shape is said to minimise any risk of the loader arms interfering with the front wheels and mudguards, while hydraulic hoses have been re-routed to avoid any chafing against the tractor’s components or obscuring work lights.

They are also better protected by improved shielding.

There are now 16 variants in the range, including the new 1.5t lift L4215U for the Vestrum, Maxxum and short Puma tractors; this is a non-levelling loader with a lift height of 4.2m.

The more powerful L4225U has mechanical self-levelling of attachments to help minimise spillages and becomes the highest capacity loader for the short wheelbase Puma, with a lift capacity of 2.5t to 4.5m.
